The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team will play their hearts out for all Fijians when they try to defend their title in Hamilton this weekend.

The team have settled well since arriving in New Zealand yesterday and Coach Gareth Baber says they are looking forward to the Fijian support as always.

Baber says they were lucky last year with the support they gathered in Hamilton and are prepared to get those fond memories back this weekend.

He adds they were proud to take the win against Samoa however, this tournament will be tough.

Fijians in Hamilton have shown hype on social media as they look forward to the two days event

Kalione Nasoko will lead his side to defend the title.

Fiji is currently sitting in third place with 35 points on the HSBC Sevens Series points table trailing behind New Zealand with 37 and USA with 38 points who appeared in two consecutive cup finals in Dubai and Cape Town.

Fiji will take on Wales in their first match of the Hamilton 7s at 10.52am Saturday, they will then face Argentina at 2.42pm and will take on Australia at 6.52pm in their last pool game this Saturday.        

The cup quarters will start at 10.36am this Sunday, the semifinals will kick off at 3.16pm and the final will start at 7.10pm this Sunday.
