24yr-old alleged to have raped 15yr-old girl in Koro remanded

A 24-year-old man appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court for allegedly raping a secondary school student in a village on Koro Island on the 2nd of this month.

The man is charged with one count of rape and he is from the same village as the 15-year-old girl.

He has been remanded in custody.
