The New Zealand rugby community is in mourning after the shock announcement that Blues and North Harbour prop Michael Tamoaieta died suddenly yesterday.

Family of the 23‑year‑old front‑rower confirmed his death this morning on social media.

The news has left many in shock with the Blues, North Harbour and New Zealand Rugby all offering their condolences to Tamoaieta's family.

Meanwhile the Blues will play the Jaguares at 9.45am tomorrow.

In the matches tonight, the Chiefs will play the Sunwolves at 6.35 while the Crusaders will play the Reds at 8.45.

The Lions will play the Bulls at 1.05am tomorrow, the Sharks play the Stormers at 3.15am.

Looking at results from last night, the Hurricanes beat the Brumbies 43-13 while the Rebels overcame the Highlanders 24-19.
