President Jioji Konrote and First Lady Sarote Konrote visited senior citizens on Rotuma as part of their tour.

Konrote says before they left Suva he was planning with his wife that they should visit the senior citizens of Rotuma because Government is serious about taking care of the elderly citizens through its various social reforms.

He says he felt that he is obliged to visit the senior citizens of Rotuma since he has been away from his island home for years because of his busy schedule as the President of Fiji.

Konrote says although the main aim of his tour is to continue advocating the planting of 4 million trees in 4 years, it is also a good opportunity to visit the senior citizens.
