Fijian born winger Sevu Reece will make his debut for the Crusaders when they will take on the Chiefs this Saturday.
Reece topped the national provincial competition's try‑scoring tally with 14 tries in 11 games playing for Waikato.
Crusaders Coach Scott Robertson says that Reece will replace Manasa Mataele who injured his knee against the Hurricanes last month.
Captain Sam Whitelock and No 8 Kieran Read remain on extended All Blacks leave while hooker Codie Taylor will make his first appearance of the season off the bench.
The Chiefs who have been winless after three rounds will take on the Crusaders at 4.15pm Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes will play the Highlanders at 6.35pm tomorrow.
