The Public Rental Board has plans to construct rental flats at Davuilevu in Nakasi and Tavakubu in Lautoka.
Chief Executive Officer Patrick Veu says they want to build around 300 rental flats at Davuilevu near the Fiji Meat Abattoir and 150 flats at Tavakubu.
He says this will take two to three years.
There are currently 1,636 rental flats around the country under the Public Rental Board and they collect around $4 million in rental income in a year and also get annual grants from government which is over $1 million.
