A 36‑year‑old man has been charged and produced in the Suva Magistrates Court for allegedly sexually abusing three boys in a village in Kadavu.
He allegedly sexually assaulted and attempted to rape a 12-year-old and 11-year-old boy and in a separate case raped a 13-year-old boy.
The alleged incidents happened between January to March this year.
The boys shared what happened to them with a Social Welfare officer who then reported the matter to Police.
In the case involving a 12‑year‑old boy, the man is charged with one count of indecently insulting, two counts of attempted rape and three counts of indecent assault.
The man is also charged with one count of sexual assault, two counts of indecent assault, three counts of sexual assault and four counts of indecently annoying in the case involving a 11‑year‑old boy.
According to Police, the man is also facing 3 counts of indecent assault, 2 counts of attempted rape and 1 count of rape for the for the case involving a 13-year-old.
The man will make his first appearance in the Suva High Court on the 18th of this month.
He is currently remanded in custody.
