40 players have been short-listed for the second trials in preparation for the OFC U23 Championship to be held in September in Fiji.                            

This championship will serve as the qualification to the Tokyo Olympics next year.

Players such as Kini Madigi, Simione Nabenu and Ratu Dau of Ba Labasa’s Asaeli Batikasa and Ilaisa Nayasi, Peni Tuigulagula and Tito Vodowaqa of Nadi, Nasinu’s Semi Matalau, Joeli Ranitu, Savenaca Baledrokadroka and Mohammed Alzaar Alam and Bruce Hughes and Vilitati Kautoga of Suva have been selected for the trials.

The National U23 trials begin this Sunday at the Fiji Football Association Academy in Ba.
