The Nadi Magistrates Court has denied the bail application of Justin Ho who is charged with drug related offences.
Ho has another case in the Nadi Magistrates Court where is charged by FICAC.
Prosecution had strongly objected to his bail saying that he is a flight risk and that the matter is of public interest.
Defence in the matter had submitted that Ho will be providing 4 sureties and that he be released on bail with strict bail conditions.
The matter has been transferred to the Lautoka High Court and will be called on the 17th of this month.
Ho is charged with one count of unlawful importation and exportation and one count of unlawful possession, manufacture, cultivation and supply contrary to the Illicit Drugs Control Act 2004.
It is alleged that on the 23rd of December last year, without lawful authority facilitated in exporting of two parcels weighing to the total of 2.015 kilograms of cocaine and other illicit drugs.
