We must continue to embrace our strong tradition of religious tolerance, freedom of speech and respect for one another, individual rights that are the foundation for a truly democratic, prosperous and inclusive Fiji.
This was the Easter message from Opposition Leader Sitiveni Rabuka who says that as a multiracial, multicultural and multi-religious society, we must continue to embrace commonality.
Rabuka says only by acknowledging differences, embracing commonality, understanding and sacrificing for each other, we will be able to progress as a united nation for the prosperity of the future generations.
The Opposition Leader says that as a Christian, he urges all to take time and reflect on Easter as an individual, as a family, a community and a nation.
Rabuka says Easter embodies the inspiring promise of new life and the triumph of hope over despair, and of faith over doubt.
