A flood alert remains in force for the low lying areas, small streams and areas adjacent to major rivers for Vanua Levu and Taveuni.
The Nadi Weather Office says that this is due to a trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over the group and is expected to affect the group till tomorrow.
A heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
People in the Northern Division can expect occasional rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms.
