Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s Coach, Gareth Baber has continued to stress financial security as one of the short term elements which is necessary in improving the quality of sevens game in Fiji and particularly for the national side.

In the Fiji Rugby Union 2018 Annual Report, Baber says his short term plans are a consistent training venue for players, player retention, welfare support, player education and quality staffing.

He also believes that this lies with ensuring the success of the national side in the 2019-2020 season.

He says that in a competitive World environment there are always elements which shift from year to year that a programme needs to stay ahead of to ensure its competitive advantage.

Meanwhile, Fiji is pooled with Samoa, France, and Kenya for the London 7s which will be held on the 26th and 27th of next month.
