A man in his late 50s died in a house fire at Deepwater Settlement in Korovou on Saturday.
Police say the incident occurred after 6pm and the victim was last seen walking into his home alone by a neighbour and shortly afterwards a fire broke out at his residence.
Firefighters at the Korovou Fire Station quickly extinguished the fire when they arrived at 6.30pm but could not save anything.
