The Global Rapid Rugby competition is set to take form tomorrow when the Fijian Latui take on Kagifa Samoa.
The Latui have been preparing for the series alongside their respective Skipper Cup commitments for the past month under Coach Senirusi Seruvakula.
The competition will also target players in working towards their selection in the Fiji Airways Fijian Drua later this month.
The competition will have a host of new rules which includes 9 points power tries for running in a try from their 22 metre line, rolling substitutions, 35 minutes for each half of the game and changes to territorial kicking rules.
The 15 men a side game will also have time limits for scrums as 1 minute and lineouts of 45 seconds to set, defensive 22 metre area kicking change which includes no gain in ground when kicking direct to touch even from within the 22, the same as the World Rugby law for outside the 22.
Tickets for the Global Rapid Rugby Pacific Showcase can be purchased from Lautoka City Council or at Churchill Park on match day for $10 grandstand, $5 embankment, with children under 12 onto the embankment for free.
The Fijian Latui will take on Kagifa Samoa at 3.10pm this Saturday at Churchill Park and will face the Western Force next Saturday also at Churchill Park.
