Crime Police Officers are currently going through the post mortem report of the 23-year-old woman who passed away after allegedly being assaulted by her partner.
The 28-year-old man who is a farmer from Kadavu is in Police custody.
The alleged incident occurred on Friday afternoon.
Police say the man who was intoxicated allegedly assaulted his pregnant partner at a house in Nasese.
The woman was rushed to the CWM Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
