There will be heavy competition for starting positions in the backline when the Fiji Airways Flying Fijians start camp next Monday for their two test matches against the Maori All Blacks.

A number of experienced backline players that had impressive seasons for their overseas clubs have been named by Coach John McKee.

They are Vereniki Goneva, Filipo Nakosi, Waisea Nayacalevu, Patrick Osbourne, Eroni Sau, Josua Tuisova, Levani Botia, Sevanaia Galala, Semi Radradra and Jale Vatubua.

The flyhalves are Ben Volavola, Alivereti Veitokani and Josh Matavesi.

Frank Lomani, Nikola Matawalu, Henry Seniloli and Serupepeli Vularika are the halfbacks in the squad.

The Flying Fijians kick off their campaign against Maori All Blacks on the 13th of July at ANZ Stadium and will then play a return match in Rotorua on the 20th before preparing for the Pacific Nations Cup.
