A 1 year-old baby has passed away after it is believed the child drowned yesterday.
Police say the child was found floating inside a well in Naikaiwaga village, Namara, Tailevu yesterday afternoon by his elder brother.
They say the circumstances surrounding the child's death is under investigation.
The drowning toll currently stands at 18 compared to 21 for the same period last year.
