The Director of the Fiji Human Rights and Anti Discrimination Commission Ashwin Raj says as of now they still have not received any report from the University of Fiji in regards to a case of alleged racism by an academic.
Raj confirmed that a complaint was lodged by the President of the Law Students’ Association Filipe Bainivalu against Professor Litiana Kuridrani.
He says once they get the report they can then decide the next step.
Bainivalu had earlier claimed that they have not received the copy of the report of the findings from the Independent Investigation Committee and he has written to the Vice Chancellor and the Council.
It is alleged that the Centre for iTaukei Studies Director Dr. Litiana Kuridrani told the President of the Samabula Law Students Association Filipe Bainivalu to ‘Stop barking like an Indian Dog’.
