A strong earthquake has rocked the Indonesian holiday island of Bali.

The underwater earthquake was felt just after 8am local time , and struck south‑east off the island.

No tsunami warning has been issued at this stage by BMKG, the Indonesian agency that monitors earthquakes.

The Agency initially stated the magnitude of the earthquake was a 6, but has since revised it down to 5.8.

The earthquake's depth is estimated to have been more than 100 kilometres below ground
