Fiji Airways Flying Fijians coach, John McKee says the players have settled in well in Japan and have turned their focus to defending the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup.

McKee says with the World Cup just around the corner, the competition for a spot in the final 33 member squad is getting intense.

McKee expects the 9 players in their extended squad that did not feature for Fiji last week to be on their toes this week.

He says with players like Leone Nakarawa and Levani Botia making it back to the team, it will strengthen the areas that they had faced difficulties in against the Maori All Blacks last Saturday.

McKee also revealed that Semi Radradra is expected to feature for the Flying Fijians in their game against Canada next week while Vereniki Goneva will continue his rehab until he is cleared by the team doctor to play.

Fiji will take on Japan at the Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium at 5.50pm Saturday.
