Pacific Sprint King, Banuve Tabakaucoro clocked a time of 10.56 seconds in the 100 metres at the World Athletics Championship in Qatar as he bowed out in Round One.
Tabakaucoro qualified for Round One after he finished second in his heat with a time of 10.56 seconds. This was the fifth fastest time in the Preliminary Round.
He was the only one out of the eleven Pacific Islanders at the world championship in the men's 100m to have qualified for Round One.
Tabakaucoro's coach Bola Tafo'ou says Tabakaucoro did well after three years away and back to this level adding his body is a little shocked from a long season.
