A 43-year-old casual worker died in an accident at a yard in Veitari in Lautoka at around 7 o'clock last night.

According to Police, the man was standing beside a forklift when a pallet of goods fell on him leaving him unconscious.

He was taken to the Lautoka Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are continuing with their investigations.
