A permit application by the Fiji Trades Union Congress for a planned march and protest in Suva tomorrow was declined by Police this afternoon.

The FTUC says it received a letter from the Divisional Police Commander Southern confirming their application has been declined.

No reasons for the permit application being declined were given by Police in that letter.

This is the fifth permit application by FTUC that has been declined by Police. The FTUC made the application on 6th September this year.
