Fiji Airways Men’s 7s National Team Coach, Gareth Baber is expected to name his 14 member team for the first two legs of the 2019/2020 HSBC 7s Series this week.
Series regulars such as Jerry Tuwai, Paula Dranisinukula, Alasio Naduva, Aminiasi Tuimaba, Vilimoni Botitu, Meli Derenalagi, Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Waisea Nacuqu are expected to play key roles as Fiji aims to go back to back in the series.
Fiji has not won the Dubai 7s since 2015.
Fiji is pooled with France, Argentina and Japan.
Fiji’s first pool match is against Japan at 4.02am next Friday, Fiji will then take on Argentina at 10.04pm the same day and they will face France in their last match at 4.02am next Saturday.
Barring any upsets, Fiji is likely to meet England or Kenya in the Quarter Finals, they can face South Africa or France in the Semifinals and is likely to meet New Zealand or USA in the final of the Dubai 7’s.
