A 26-year-old athlete from Ra has been remanded in custody by the Suva Magistrates Court for allegedly stabbing his 39-year-old partner at an apartment complex in Suva on Sunday night.
Kennol Narayan allegedly stabbed his partner during a drinking party after a heated exchange.
He is charged with act with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Magistrate, Jioji Boseiwaqa says it is an indictable offence and any bail application has to be made in the High Court.
The matter will be called again in the Suva Magistrates Court on the 19th of this month.
