The President of the Suva Retailers Association, Vinay Kumar says while they experienced a stagnant year, they expect business to pick up in the last few days of this month.

Kumar says the retail sector is in the same situation as other sectors of the economy as they have been affected by the slow down in the world's economy.

He says they expect recovery next year.
