A man has been reported missing at sea after he failed to reach his destination yesterday afternoon.
Police say the man was in a red fiberglass boat which departed the Lautoka wharf for Saweni together with a few others in separate boats. The others reached safely while the man is still missing.
The Acting Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu says he is seriously concerned about those that disregard warnings and advisories putting the lives of their officers at risk in terms of search and rescue.
Tudravu has also warned members of the public that those found to have disregard warnings and advisories will be taken to task for disobedience of lawful order.
