The 2020 Vodafone Premier League has been launched and the first round of matches will be played next weekend.
In the opening match, Suva will take on Labasa at 1.30pm next Saturday at Subrail Park.
Three matches will kick off at 3pm next Sunday. Defending champions, Ba will take on Rewa at Ratu Cakobau Park, Lautoka will play Nasinu at Churchill Park while Navua will face Nadi at the Uprising Ground in Pacific Harbour.
Vodafone Fiji has provided a sponsorship of $183,000 for the VPL. A cheque worth $150,000 was handed over to the Fiji FA today.
The winner of the VPL will receive $20,000 in prize money which is an increase of $2,000 from last year.
The winner and runner up of the VPL will represent Fiji in the 2021 OFC Champions League.
Meanwhile, Labasa will take on Ba in the first leg of the Pillay Garments Champion Versus Champion series at 7 tonight at Churchill Park while the second leg will be played at 3pm Sunday at Ratu Cakobau Park.
