Tamavua landlord, Urvendra Sharma says he will be meeting with the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission and Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission today to take action against Pramil Prasad who he claims was brought in as a caretaker.

However, Prasad says he will leave the matter to the court to resolve it.

He says he wants the landlord to replace all his belongings that he destroyed by throwing it outside.

Pramil Prasad was arbitrarily evicted last week however he is back to living in Sharma’s flat after Legal Aid assisted the family in getting a court order for them to return to the flat.

Sharma claims that Prasad never paid rent to him however Prasad is saying that he paid $300 per month as rent to the landlord.

He says he will not be replacing Prasad’s belongings because he did not throw it outside and their stuff was already damaged.

Sharma claims that he went to Legal Aid Commission for help but they told him to go to the Nasinu Magistrates Court.

Fijivillage have sent questions to Legal Aid about the claims that has been made by Sharma and they have said that they will respond later today.
