England has won the Autumn Nations Cup after edging France 22-19 in sudden death extra time at Twickenham Stadium this morning

England was the favourite and had 10 times the experience, and home advantage.

But a young France team of second and third stringers led for 65 minutes until the last minute of regulation time when England pulled out a converted try from a line-out drive to tie the score at 19-19.

That forced the final into 20 extra minutes of sudden death, with the first to score the winner.

Prop Luke Cowan-Dickie scored the only for England while other points came from the boots of Owen Farrel and Elliot Daly.

Brice Duly scored a try for France with Matthieu Jalibert and Louis Carbonel converting two penalties each.

England won all the Autumn Nations Cup match.

In other results, Fiji beat Georgia 38-24, Wales defeated Italy and Ireland beat Scotland 31-18.
