People’s Alliance Leader, Sitiveni Rabuka is calling for answers from the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama on what is being done regarding the oil spills at Draunibota Bay in Lami, the pollution along Suva Harbour and the coastline, the tonnes of litter scattered around the country and the toxic emissions from buses and other vehicles however Bainimarama is yet to reply.

Rabuka says while a large Fijian contingent is about to leave for COP26 in Glasgow, he questions what will be achieved as he quoted young environment activist, Greta Thunberg saying that it is just a lot of blah blah blah.

He says the People’s Alliance will have strong policies on the environment while giving much greater attention to fixing the problems that stare us in the face here at home.

We sent questions to the Prime Minister on October 11th however he is yet to respond.
