Supervisor of Elections and Registrar of Political Parties, Mohammed Saneem says the Political Finance Assessment of Fiji Report published by International IDEA (Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance) can be classified as personal opinion by the author and the report is also touching on issues that do not deal with political finance.

The lead author for the Sweden based organisation, International IDEA report was Nilesh Lal who is the Executive Director of Dialogue Fiji.

Saneem says they have done a preliminary analysis on the report.

The Supervisor also says only 26 of the 36 assessment questions were not covered, and he also raised the experimental recommendations like allowing companies to make donations to the political parties.

Saneem says it looks like a flip flop proposal.
