A strong 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck 683km south east of Ono-i-Lau and 524km south of Nukualofa, Tonga today however, it does not pose any immediate tsunami threat to Fiji.
The tremor was felt at 9.24am.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10km.
