Eid to be celebrated today

Muslims in Fiji will celebrate Eid today as the moon has been sighted this evening.

Eid ul-Fitr is celebrated to commemorate the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Ramadan marks the time when the Quran, the Muslim holy book, was revealed to Prophet Muhammad.
