As Muslims around the country celebrate Eid today, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says this day and always, Fiji is a stronger country for being a nation of many faiths.

Bainimarama says our Muslim sisters and brothers end Ramadan together with family and fellow Fijians to celebrate the sacrifice, compassion, and solidarity Eid-ul-Fitr represents.

Eid ul-Fitr is celebrated to commemorate the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Ramadan marks the time when the Quran, the Muslim holy book, was revealed to Prophet Muhammad.
