Miss Stop and Shop Supermarket Nancy Sharma says she was constantly bullied as a teenager because she was short and this has inspired her to take part in the Vodafone Tebara Carnival at Syria Park as a Queen contestant and advocate on promoting and accepting healthy beauty standards in our society.

Sharma who turns 24-years-old today says she was told that certain people with certain features cannot make it big in life and some are more appealing.

She says she is looking forward to gaining a new learning experience and to have fun during the process.

Sharma is a law student at the University of the South Pacific.

Meanwhile, tonight is Island Accommodation Multicultural Night as well as Queen’s Talent Night.

The Carnival ends this Saturday.
