The Minister for Lands and prominent lawyer, Filimoni Vosarogo has told Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum that what he in fact is assaulting is the mandate of the majority to choose their government.

While reacting to a lengthy statement made by Sayed-Khaiyum at the FijiFirst Office with elected FFP MPs standing behind him, Vosarogo says the people have chosen through their representatives on the 24th of December.

Vosarogo tells Sayed-Khaiyum "you're now the aggressor and with your diatribe, the people, once again, are the victim."

The Minister goes on to say "you openly and aggressively assaulted the 1997 Constitution, a people's Constitution. Then you didn't accept the Yash Ghai Constitution draft. That was burnt. You cooked your own and in 2013 established this Constitution for the Republic of Fiji."

Vosarogo says in a classic people's Constitution, the people would give themselves their Constitution.

He tells the former FijiFirst MP that you see, no one needs to be a lawyer to read the difference between good and bad drafting.

Speaking on separation of powers, Vosarogo says Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum was criticizing Magistrate Siromi Turaga's (now Attorney General) decision when he was AG in a presser at a time no appeal had been lodged.
