A flood alert is in force for low-lying areas, small streams and flood-prone areas within Sigatoka, Tuva, Nadi, Vitogo, Ba and Nasivi Rivers.
A flash flood warning remains in force for flood-prone areas from Nabouwalu to Dreketi, Seaqaqa to Labasa area, Qawa catchment, Wainikoro, Nadogo, Dogotuki, Nakawaga and Bagata at Nasekawa river.
The Nadi Weather Office confirms that this is due to an active trough of low pressure lying over the group with associated clouds, and rain is expected to affect the group till the weekend.
A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of the Fiji Group.
There has been a significant amount of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
