Ireland held off a spirited Italy side to claim a bonus-point victory in the Six Nations Championship this morning.

Ireland beat Italy 34-20.

The Irish scored four tries before half-time through James Ryan, Hugo Keenan, Bundee Aki and Mack Hansen.

Ireland Fly-half, Ross Byrne scored nine points including an important 65th minute penalty to move Ireland seven points clear.

In another result, England defeated Wales 20-10.

France will take on Scotland at 3am tomorrow.
