Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad says the Prime Minister and Ministers are on a 20% reduced salary.
When questioned by fijivillage News on when and whether the overseas travel allowance for the Prime Minister which stands at $3,000 a day will be reduced, Professor Prasad says the allowances and other benefits for Ministers will have to be decided by an Independent Emoluments Committee.

He says this will be done soon and the other benefits and allowances of Ministers will be reduced as well.
