6-year-old drowns during a picnic trip with family

Mosquito Island in Lami

A 6-year-old child has drowned during a picnic trip yesterday afternoon.

Police say the alleged incident occurred on Mosquito Island in Lami where the victim was with her family.

Investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
