Fiji Bati fullback Sunia Turuva scored a double to assist the Penrith Panthers claim the 2023 minor premiership and ended North Queensland's finals hopes in the process with a crushing 44-12 victory at BlueBet Stadium last night.

A dominant first half by the defending NRL champions, who set up a 26-0 lead, was more than enough against the Cowboys.

The Panthers scored eight tries; two from Turuva and Brian To'o, while a try each to Stephen Crichton, Liam Martin, Luke Sommerton and Nathan Cleary.

In other results, the Dolphins thrashed the Warriors 34-10, and the Knights beat the Dragons 32-12.

Meanwhile, the Titans will meet the Bulldogs at 4 this afternoon, and the Sharks will face the Raiders at 6.05 tonight.
