Nadroga shrugged off a late comeback from Namosi in the second spell to claim a 23-15 win and retain the Inkk Farebrother Challenge trophy at Lawaqa Park this afternoon.

Nadroga started the game strongly and scored 3 tries in the first spell and a penalty to lead 20-0 at halftime.

Namosi came back in the second half and scored 3 unconverted tries but left it a little bit too late as Nadroga only managed a penalty in the second half to give them an 8-point advantage.

Nadroga captain Ratunaisa Navuma led from the front and marshalled his forwards well giving the challengers a hard time settling themselves down in the game.

Namosi had the services of Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s player Josua Vakurunabili.
