Team Fiji Women’s Volleyball side have won their second pool match at the Pacific Games defeating Samoa 3 sets to 1.

Samoa won the third set 25-17 to force the game into the fourth set where Fiji sealed their win by beating Samoa 25-21.

Meanwhile, Fiji lost their first match to New Caledonia 3 sets to 1.

Coach Ro Varanisese Logavatu says they had a plan coming into the game against Samoa, but some of the Samoan players showed a different style of play.

She says it took them time to get accustomed to the playing style of Samoa.

Logavatu says they committed a lot of mistakes but she is thankful they came out victorious.
