A man who was convicted of six counts of serious sexual offences against a 13-year-old girl, has been sentenced to 18 years imprisonment with a non-parole period of 11 years and 8 months.
The man appeared before Justice Lee James Burney in the Labasa High Court.
He was also served with a permanent domestic violence restraining order with standard non-molestation and no contact conditions that will be in force unless varied by a competent court.
Justice Burney says should the man breach this order, he will be charged with an offence contrary to section 77 of the Domestic Violence Act.
