The case of a former Supply Chain Manager of Telecom Fiji Limited, Patrick Victor Adrian, who has been accused of leaking company information will be called in court on the 3rd of June as his lawyer makes a submission for the court to hear the application for leave to appeal on the previous decision of the judge.

Adrian received a court order from TFL in 2023 stating that he should not disclose confidential information such as TFL’s supplier listing, detailed inventory listing, the procurement and tender policies, Tender Register containing all the information about current tenders and tendered work, TFL’s tender details with all information pertaining to the ICT Park and BPO Tabulation, copy of new Data Centre and Headquarters at CTS, TFL’s external Public Relations consultant, and quote requests amongst other matters.

Adrian’s lawyer, Jagath Karunaratne filed for specific discovery application but the judge had earlier dismissed the application.

These documents include some emails.

In an earlier affidavit filed in the High Court, Adrian refers to TFL’s Whistleblower Policy and Corporate Governance Policy.

The court document further states that TFL is a public company and amongst the 3 prominent service providers in the country, and the affidavit says that this matter has a potential to shed light on alleged mismanagement and possible corrupt practices.

Adrian says in the affidavit that he has been deprived of his right to be reasonably heard, fairly represented natural justice to be prevailed as a matter of undeniable rights to a person.

Patrick Adrian has also filed a case against Telecom Fiji for unlawful termination.

The matter is set for trial in the Employment Court in December.
