Mokani farmer, Waisea Naitini, who was found trespassing at Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s residence, now wishes to reconcile with the Prime Minister.

Naitini appeared before Magistrate Charles Ratakele this morning.

Magistrate Ratakele questioned the 30-year-old if he was related to the Prime Minister and Naitini replied, saying no.

The Investigating Officer has been asked to submit the statement from the complainant in the next 7 days.

Naitini earlier informed the court that he went to ask Rabuka for help regarding something in his village.

Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu says the incident occurred before midday on Saturday, the 21st of June, and Naitini was arrested.

Tudravu says Naitini was initially turned away by officers at the main gate as he had no prior appointment or clearance and was later arrested when he had gained entry from the back of the compound.

The matter has been adjourned to the 7th of July.
