The Fijian Basketballs are stepping onto the international stage at the FIBA 3 on 3 Under 23 World Cup with a lot of confidence and courage knowing they can achieve some good results given their preparations and their faith in each others abilities.
This was shared by the Fiji Men’s 3 on 3 Men’s Captain Keenan Hughes.
Hughes says they can feel the expectations from the people, family and friends to perform well on the international stage and those expectations are well taken care of and one they are ready to live up too as a team.
He says he is looking forward to what they can achieve as a team.
Team Fiji 3 on 3 Coach Earl Hughes says it’s an equal platform where big and small nations will compete on even platforms and he is optimistic his players will do well.
Fiji will be playing Latvia tonight at 8.15pm while the Women’s team will face Czechia at 7.25pm today.
