Police investigations are now underway after several raids at different locations along Rewa Street in Suva and parts of the Western Division as part of a major methamphetamine bust.

Police confirm multiple joint raids have been conducted in the Central, Southern and Western Divisions by the Fiji Police Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Department, Fiji Detector Dog Unit, Police Mobile Force and Fiji Immigration Department leading to multiple arrests and seizures of illicit substances believed to be methamphetamine.

Large sums of foreign and local currencies have also been seized. Several people are in custody as investigations continue.

fijivillage News has received confirmation that some foreign nationals are in custody.

Police earlier confirmed that a location along Rewa Street in Suva is a place of interest in an ongoing investigation.

This is after two houses were cordoned off by Police overnight.

fijivillage News had earlier received information that a number of Police officers were at a house along Rewa Street yesterday afternoon.

We contacted Police yesterday evening however there was no response.

After seeing two houses cordoned off with Police crime scene tapes, we contacted the Police again. Stay with us for developments.
