As the Junior Bula Boys are hours away from their opening match of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar, the players were reminded what they are fighting for as they received heartfelt video messages from family and friends back home, filling the room with pride and emotion.

Fiji Football says the players began the day with a pool recovery session, followed by lunch and a Sunday church service, a grounding moment before the big day.

They later received their official kits and legend Roy Krishna also joined via Zoom to share an inspiring message, encouraging the team to give their best in their opening match.

The Junior Bula Boys take on Tunisia at 3.45am tomorrow.
